Town Hall Theatre

The Town Hall Theatre is a unique 1910 vintage proscenium theatre that has been restored to its original look, the last of its kind in the Susquehanna Valley. It is a significant cultural and social magnet, drawing audiences from far beyond Bainbridge for the wide variety of musical styles and live performances hosted tin the intimate, 250-seat venue. Attending one of the shows is like a step back in time, with ornate detailing in the theater, the walls and the tin ceiling. From Oct to May, the theatre hosts the Town Hall Opry series – a regular, family-friendly program of guest musicians, specializing in bluegrass music. Other musical groups are hosted throughout the year as well. In addition, the Out of the Woodwork players, an amateur theater group, makes this space their home and performs live theater performances.

Art gallery space is used to feature local artist shows in conjunction with the Town Hall Opry nights. Also, before most performances, attendees are treated to some numbers on the ├ćolian/Skinner residence pipe organ, built in 1933 and coming to the Town Hall Theatre in 1979.

During events, the Jericho Arts Council offers an array of homemade baked goods and delicious popcorn. Check out the schedule of events at: http://www.jerichoarts.com/events.html
